Overview
The Analytics Lead will advance the vision of The First Church of Christ, Scientist (Church) by using data and technology to unlock the organization’s ability to understand its customers and their interaction with the products and services of the Church. This is an engaging and hands-on role for an individual who can operate at strategic and tactical levels, combining data from multiple sources to produce reports and analyses that answer key questions from clients and leadership. The Analytics Lead delivers insights and recommendations by creating analytical work products, evaluating outputs, and communicating recommendations to client, product, and editorial stakeholders in an actionable way.
Responsibilities
Drive analytics insights (percentage varies by priorities).
Develop and communicate a mission-aligned analytics infrastructure.
Understand the customer experience by establishing and maintaining data integrations for analytics to monitor performance, diagnose opportunities, and recommend actions to product and editorial groups.
Self-organize and manage work; develop strategy and implement self-service analytics interfaces for clients.
Train and mentor internal Adobe Analytics users.
Partner with other leads within P&DSG for development of promotional strategies across departments, products, and campaigns.
Evaluate digital consumer behavioral analysis and uncover trends that support product development and content strategy.
Implement and evaluate dashboards and intelligence tools aligned to project goals and KPIs.
Build and foster consultative relationships with clients to define analytics priorities and communicate actionable insights.
Use analytics findings to inform A/B testing programs.
Analyze and synthesize customer data into digestible feedback; share progress regularly with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; 5–7 years of business analysis experience.
Experience with data analytics vendors (Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics) is required.
Experience with a statistical programming language (e.g., R) and SQL is a plus for pulling, consolidating, and modeling data.
Experience with data visualization tools (Infogram, Looker Studio or similar) is preferred.
Experience extracting data from third-party sources (Salesforce, subscription databases, email systems, social channels) is required.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to generate insights from customer behavioral data; ability to work independently and across cross-functional teams.
Strategic thinking with the ability to execute incrementally.
Collaborative, reliable, and creative approach to work; Scrum/Agile experience; Product Owner certification a plus.
Work Environment Preference for onsite work in Boston.
Engagement with Christian Science Understanding of the Church’s mission and dedication to its values, including fairness, honesty, respect, and brotherly love. Membership in The Mother Church preferred.
Compensation Pay range: $100,541.00 – $130,702.40 annually. The posted ranges are the compensation the Church reasonably and in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting. The offered salary will be determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, benchmarking, work location, and internal equity.
Legal and Employment Details In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document upon hire.
