Morgan Stanley . Our Healthcare Investment Banking Group seeks an Associate for our West Coast team based in San Francisco. The team covers a wide variety of innovative clients in healthcare and life sciences sub‑sectors, including biotechnology, medical technology, life sciences tools, diagnostics, specialty pharma and technology‑enabled healthcare.
Responsibilities
Work on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts.
Assist in strategic advisory assignments and execution of public offerings, including IPOs, and private capital markets transactions.
Deliver high‑quality advice to clients and collaborate with senior professionals to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.
Qualifications
Experience in investment banking as an Associate with a proven track record on executed deals.
Superior valuation skills, strong written & verbal communication, and comfort reading & interpreting financial statements.
Extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard.
Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
Interest in developing a career in Healthcare Investment Banking.
Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA is an asset.
Series licensing or willingness to obtain.
