Mission Operations Analysis Engineer, Space About the role: Mission operations analysis and design for space missions, including mission trajectory design, modeling, simulation, and analysis to deliver rigorous math and physics analyses and clear value propositions. Collaboration with Systems Engineering, GNC, Propulsion, Communications, Flight Software, Mission Operations, and other teams. Lead physics-level modeling, mission design, constellation design, simulation, and analysis for a variety of space missions.

What You’ll Do

Develop model-driven analysis (and often the models themselves).

Develop a deep understanding of the transformational value of Anduril platform, autonomy, simulation, and perception products.

Use internal M&S capabilities to give analyses an asymmetric advantage over competitors.

Convey value through life of AI-powered distributed systems over traditional offerings.

Provide rigorous analytical products to guide hardware engineering and persuade stakeholders of value advantages.

Required Qualifications

Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Space Mission MS&A experience with constellation design, space trajectory design, and physics-level modeling across space missions.

Spacecraft & Payload MS&A experience with physics-based trade-space analyses for propulsion, power, thermal management, and payloads (e.g., RADAR, SATCOM, EOIR).

Outstanding communication skills, including visual presentation of complex data.

Strong background in orbital mechanics and space environment.

Proficiency with physics-math scripting (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python with NumPy/SciPy).

Strong engineering background in Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Dynamics and Controls Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years in a relevant Science/Engineering field.

Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO) Trajectory Design & Space Payloads experience.

Proficiency with physics-math scripting (MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python+NumPy/SciPy).

Proficiency with STK and Astrogator.

Experience with genetic algorithms, machine learning, AI, and reinforcement learning algorithms.

Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: $113,000.00/yr - $149,000.00/yr. US Salary Range for this role is $113,000—$149,000 USD.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on compensation factors including base salary, experience, education, and training. Equity grants are included in many full-time offers as part of total compensation.
