About This Role We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
Design and implement automation software from requirements to prototype and customer deployment
Interface with product development teams to determine appropriate test strategy and coverage for functional requirements
Develop a set of testing requirements based on hardware engineering design documentation
Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in NI‑Lab View, Python or standard Windows OS Executive and GUI tools for manufacturing and engineering design verification
Write automation software to interact with electronics hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and production data systems
Strong understanding of general control design principles including various communication protocols (Serial, Ethernet)
Utilizing state of the art PXI, LAN, USB as well as legacy IEEE‑488 and other instrumentation in a context of automated parametric measurements, while maintaining a modular, flexible and scalable design approach
Qualifications
B. S. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years’ experience developing instrument driven test software or
M. S. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years’ experience developing instrument driven test software (Level III).
B. S. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years’ experience developing instrument driven test software or M. S. in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years’ experience developing instrument driven test software (Level IV).
Solid programming knowledge in LabView or Python
Experience programming with C#/C++ is a plus
Experience in problem isolation with demonstrable troubleshooting skills
Relevant experience with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications
Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with results‑orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines
Must have strong written and verbal communications skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment
An existing U.S. Secret Security Clearance is desired. The ability to obtain one is required.
Level III: $112,400 - $171,000
Level IV: $142,600 - $218,400
