Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Position Summary:

Elder Law and Estate Planning
firm seeks a highly motivated and successful attorney to join its growing Estate Administration and Estate Planning Practice Groups. Our firm has a collegial atmosphere and a transparent management culture. We provide attorneys with opportunities for substantial professional development, responsibility, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate has 5 plus years of experience in probate, estate and trust administration, formal and informal accounting, 17A guardianships, Surrogate Court appearances, etc. Experience with will contests and estate litigation a plus. Estate Planning experience must include drafting all estate planning documents (Wills, Trusts, Advance Directives) as well as tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, including the drafting of ILITs, SLATs, GRATs, QPRTs, etc. Experience with corporate succession planning and LLCs a plus.
Excellent client-interaction skills and the ability to handle consultations, planning meetings, and the ability to oversee a large case load and paralegal staff a must. Experience with client acquisition and business development a plus. Portable business presents next‑level professional growth opportunities. You will get an opportunity to learn and grow with a great firm.
Attorneys "own" their positions and are 100% responsible for their own work and caseloads. You will have extensive client contact and opportunities to represent the firm outside of the office. You will have autonomy and independence while being part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in probate, estate and trust administration, formal and informal accounting, 17A guardianships, Surrogate Court appearances, etc.
Estate Planning experience must include drafting all estate planning documents (Wills, Trusts, Advance Directives).
Tax planning experience for high-net-worth individuals, including the drafting of ILITs, SLATs, GRATs, QPRTs, etc.
Experience with will contests and estate litigation a plus.
Experience with corporate succession planning and LLCs a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
