SAP MES/MII Consultant, Hayward/Fremont, CA, US
As a Manufacturing Systems Support Contract Engineer, your primary roles are to work closely with the client’s production teams and Base Ops Service Operations at various client’s facilities, either remotely or in person, to troubleshoot any Manufacturing Systems and SAP S4 system related issues, identity the root causes of these issues, and resolve the issues directly in the systems or work with client’s BizApps personnel, production team members, Manufacturing Engineering Quality, Process, and MES Team engineers to resolve the issues.
Requirements
Strong
SAP ME/Mii
experience and manufacturing plant floor in-person support experience.
Basic knowledge on the integration between
S4/HANA and SAP ME/Mii
is needed.
Experience with SAP EAM module and familiarity with vehicle system structures
Basic knowledge on the integration of
MES with PLC
using Kepware through
OPC UA servers
Onsite, in-person support in client’s Facilities in the San Francisco Bay Areas, specifically Fremont and Hayward.
Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day Manufacturing Execution System (MES) operation support at client’s Facilities
Resolve any MES-related issues raised by production technicians
Troubleshoot and resolve any MES data collection issues
Work with production technicians to resolve any MES operation issues
Monitor MES/S4 Integration errors and assist in the resolution of the errors
Monitor BaseOps SAP Support channel requests and resolve any SAP EAM and Configuration Management related issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant areas in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or Engineering
Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in MES usage in a manufacturing environment (requirements analysis, design definition, software development, and solutions implementation);
3+ years of Hands-on Experience with SAP ME/Mii/PCo and Kepware applications
Prior experience working on SAP EAM systems.
Ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and systems.
Customer-focused, positive, supportive, self-motivated, considerate personality required – must work well in a team environment.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in an automotive manufacturing production environment
Strong understanding of the plant floor manufacturing system architectures and industrial communication protocol.
