OPPORTUNITY

Our client operates in the affordable housing space across 15+ states and has been in business for over 40 years. This CFO role is a great opportunity for highly accomplished accounting professionals to lead accounting and financial reporting operations for the enterprise. The CFO will lead daily accounting, strategic planning, and financial reporting functions for the portfolio. This role will be based in Indianapolis and our client is open to candidates interested in relocating. SCOPE OF WORK

Lead finance and accounting team, assisting with daily tasks as needed and providing training/oversight for all daily operations. Monitor and track financial KPIs for all properties in the organization’s portfolio Ensure monthly financial statements are produced and distributed to all stakeholders and provide analysis on current budget state, variances, and cash flow activities. Maintain system of internal controls to ensure data integrity Manage relationships with external vendors (banking, insurance, and trust vendors) Monitor bond covenants to maintain compliance Maintain relationships with external CPA firms for yearly audit and tax processes. Assist internal accounting and finance teams with all requests from CPA firm and ensure a timely completion of yearly tax returns and financial audits. Consolidate and prepare financial statements and cash flow analysis for the portfolio and make executive presentations for the Board. Engage in dialogue surrounding P&L, forecasting, and budgeting adherence and make operational adjustments as needed. Adhere to GAAP, HUD guidelines, and other industry regulations to ensure financial compliance. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s and/or CPA License preferred 10+ years of accounting experience required. Proficiency with bank reconciliations, GL accounting, and budgeting will be essential for this role. Previous experience as a CFO, VP or leader of a finance and accounting division is preferred. Work experience in property management, real estate, senior living, HUD or other related fields is preferred. Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting ARDEN SEARCH
