Security Guard - Government Building Patrol Specialist

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations to help create a secure environment for all. What You'll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, adapting to the needs of a government location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols and directions from Allied Universal and client representatives.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations while on patrol.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public, providing assistance and information as needed.
Minimum Requirements
A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Candidates should be able to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks; this is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
