About the Role
A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and strategic
Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
to join its dynamic finance team. This individual will play a key role in guiding financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Reporting to the VP of Finance and/or CFO, the Director of FP&A will lead the financial planning process, oversee key analytical initiatives, and provide insights that drive operational efficiency and long-term growth. This position requires strong communication skills, proven leadership experience, and a deep understanding of financial and operational metrics within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling
Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making
Lead revenue audits, valuations, and ad-hoc analyses to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Present financial results, projections, and insights to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner
Manage and mentor FP&A team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
Ensure alignment between financial objectives and organizational goals through effective communication and strategic partnership
Leverage healthcare finance knowledge to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders
Develop and maintain standardized reporting tools and dashboards to support management oversight
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of
7 years
in finance, accounting, or a related field
At least
3 years
in a financial leadership or managerial capacity
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline required
Master’s degree
preferred (MBA or related field)
Skills & Competencies:
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex financial information for diverse audiences
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet critical deadlines
Familiarity with healthcare industry concepts, financial systems, and terminology preferred
