Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to deter security-related incidents, and promote a secure atmosphere. You will conduct regular patrols, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating professionally. $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by site. Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or residents as needed. Document and report observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to site guidelines and Allied Universal protocols. Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal leadership and site management. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies. Minimum Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. A guard card or license is preferred. Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
