IT Systems Engineer
ROLE
We need an experienced Mid-Level IT Systems Engineer at NAVSEA’s Safety and Regulatory Compliance Directorate (SEA 09) in support of the Navy Modernization (NM) Program. SEA 09P is responsible for developing and maintaining the Navy Modernization Process (NMP), policies, and supporting information systems that govern the planning, engineering, and execution of modernization across the surface fleet. This contract supports SEA 09P in advancing modernization process standardization, continuous improvement, and integration with the Navy’s digital engineering and IT systems. In this role, you will provide technical engineering support for modernization systems, performing systems analysis, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications. RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs systems engineering and integration for modernization-related IT systems and applications
Develops and maintains system architecture, interface design, and technical documentation
Supports system testing, validation, and fielding of modernization tools
Coordinates with software developers and cybersecurity specialists to ensure technical interoperability
Implements configuration management and baseline control for assigned systems
Ensures systems adhere to modernization process requirements and Navy standards
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience in DoD/Navy systems engineering support with specialized experience in DoD 5000 process, Navy Modernization, and Engineering Change Management OR specialized experience in ISO 9001 - QMS Principles and Practices and CMMI Level III Principles and Practices
REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with 7+ years of experience related to the required skills/experience above OR
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with 10+ years of experience related to the required skills/experience above OR
High School diploma with 15+ years of experience related to the required skills/experience above
