Parkridge Medical Center offers compassionate care and advanced technology in a 275-bed hospital near downtown Chattanooga. The center provides comprehensive diagnostic and medical/surgical services, including cardiovascular surgery, cancer treatment, intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. As part of the Parkridge Health System, patients have access to OB-GYN services, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults. Leadership: Dr. Matthew Walsh, MD – Vice President of Clinical Services for NAPA’s Midwest Region (IL, MI, TN and MS). He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with a background in cardiovascular anesthesia and has affiliations with the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists. Team Highlights: 30 anesthesiologists and 100 CRNAs work together in a care team model focused on giving everyone a voice and delivering care excellence. Responsibilities
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department Medical management of patients rendered unconscious or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtain and verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient; manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor patient’s physiological condition Perform clinical interventions as needed Requirements
M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician Lifestyle
