As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all occupants. What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activities and suspicious behavior.

Monitor for potential security-related risks and report observed irregularities or incidents according to established protocols.

Maintain awareness of the surroundings within government locations and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and onsite contacts as necessary.

Support emergency response activities and participate in drills as required by the location's policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by law.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
