Overview

The Turbo Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining the processes and operations within the production of turboexpanders (machining, welding, balancing, assembly). They are responsible for staying apprised of best practices in the industry to help reduce production costs and find more effective ways for producing Turbo's products, while still maintaining (or improving) the desired quality for its customers. Responsibilities

Comprehending in-house and vendor manufacturing and assembly capabilities, and using this knowledge to establish the Bill of Operations (BOO) for all parts. Utilizing engineering drawings from various software, like SolidWorks and AutoCAD, to determine the most cost-effective and time-efficient methods for part production. Understanding and implementing capitalization and improvement strategies derived from previous projects, commissioning, and operational issues. Developing and implementing fixtures and tools to ensure efficient production and adherence to part specifications. Conducting analyses of manufacturing operations with the goal of continuous improvement and cost reduction. Collaborating with design engineers, offering feedback on design simplification, cost reduction, and quality and safety improvement. Creating, updating, and maintaining manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Coordinating maintenance and repair services to ensure all equipment remains in good and safe working condition. Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, and evaluating and recommending new manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency. Participating in cross-functional teams to address manufacturing issues, implement process improvements, and introduce new products and technologies. Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, and actively promoting a safe working environment. Training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians, and providing technical guidance and support to other departments. Education

Bachelor's degree (Mechanical or Industrial engineering preferred) with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Qualifications

Proficient with Google Workspace. Proficient with SAP (Routing and Production Versions in Material Master Record). Proficient with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software. Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, including proficiency in ANSI Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Knowledge of AWS and ASME Section IX. Knowledge of manufacturing standard operating procedures. Knowledge of assembly, balancing, machining, and grinding processes (CNC experience would be a plus). Ability to analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. Benefits
