ADI Global Distribution
ADI Global Distribution is seeking a passionate Data Platforms Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our enterprise data platforms. In this role you will join a talented engineering and operations team focused on building and supporting secure, performant, and scalable next‑generation data platforms that include Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, DBT, Airflow, Azure data services, SQL Server, and modern AI/ML technologies. You will help ensure our data infrastructure meets both current and future needs while adhering to governance, compliance, and operational excellence.
Job Duties
Lead end‑to‑end engineering of data platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and extensibility.
Build reusable frameworks and automation using Snowflake, GitHub, Azure Data Factory, DBT, and other tools.
Maintain critical infrastructure including OLTP databases, near‑real‑time data pipelines, batch processing systems, and frameworks that make data accessible to engineering teams.
Administer, configure, and support data, analytics, and cloud data platforms.
Manage and enforce data security, protecting databases against threats and unauthorized access.
Contribute to data modeling, partitioning, indexing, clustering, and performance optimization in Snowflake and other platforms following best practices.
Implement resource monitoring, cost optimization, data validation, and quality checks within data pipelines.
Maintain runbooks and knowledge bases for the platform operations team.
Ensure seamless integration of data systems across the company, collaborating with data engineering and analytics teams.
Provide after‑hours support for critical production systems, scheduled maintenance, and release deployments as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience designing, deploying, managing, and supporting RDBMS, data warehouse, data lake, and BI solutions (SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Azure Data Factory, and related Azure services).
Advanced SQL proficiency.
Hands‑on experience with Snowflake cloud advanced capabilities.
Experience with public cloud technologies, continuous integration, continuous deployment, configuration management, and provisioning automation (e.g., GitHub).
Understanding of security practices and certificate management.
Experience with orchestration tools.

Knowledge of enterprise data management principles.
Experience with AI/ML technologies and MLOps tools.
Experience in data platform administration.
