Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking an Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager with Construction industry experience to join their team in Concord. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where the successful candidate will support various financial functions. This role is 100% onsite and provides the potential for either temporary-to-hire or direct hire, depending on the candidate's fit and qualifications.
Responsibilities
Manage collections and ensure timely receipt of payments.
Oversee lien processes to protect company interests.
Monitor Work In Progress (WIP) accounts and provide updates as necessary.
Prepare and analyze Balance Sheets and Income Statements to ensure accuracy.
Conduct Aging reports to track outstanding receivables and payables.
Administer payroll processes ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve financial operations and reporting.
Requirements
Strong understanding of financial statements including Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
Experience with collections, liens, and WIP accounts.
Proficiency in managing payroll processes.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
