About You ARCO/Murray Power Solutions (AMPS) is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team based in Downers Grove, Illinois. The Project Manager will play a key role as part of the AMPS team in delivering turnkey power solutions to our clients. This person will have the opportunity to lead managerial and administrative aspects of AMPS projects including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review/coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Create competitive, accurate, and timely project cost estimates and preliminary schedules for large pipeline of general electrical and renewable energy system construction projects
Thoroughly investigate the specifications, scope of work, drawings, and other RFP documents to develop a complete understanding of the RFP requirements. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the contract documents and the potential risks for a project
Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contract, project schedule, and site logistics plan
Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

Necessary Qualifications
BS in Engineering, construction management, or related field
3-5 years of construction management experience required
Previous substation, renewable energy, or more other medium-voltage electrical project experience of any type preferred
Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects and/or P6 preferred
Experience designing or reviewing drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT required
Ability to travel nationwide as needed
