Barrett Honors College at ASU is the premier honors college in the country with a dynamic Student Services division known for individual attention and service to students. Barrett at the Tempe campus is seeking an Assistant Director who will work in a team environment, and create and implement innovative student engagement programming, design a strategic plan for Barrett Off Campus Students, design unique programs for students that highlight Barrett’s value pairs (Courage & Curiosity, Belonging & Community, and Agency and Leadership), supervise professional staff, teach courses for student leaders, oversee the Barrett Mentoring Program, direct the Peer Academic Leaders program, help create and implement the Barrett Explores Travel Programs, and provide general leadership to the Barrett student community. Continue to enhance a cohesive residential community with a strong identity that supports Barrett’s mission and values Working with the director to supervise, train, and evaluate professional staff Hours:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with some nights and weekends Salary:

Evidence of a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred Experience in an institution of higher education Experience working in a residential college setting Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills Experience in working with honors programs Experience in mentoring and developing student groups and student leaders Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (60%); frequently required to stand for varying lengths of time, walk moderate distances, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds to perform work (40%). Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Department Statement
