Role’s Objective We’re looking for an Assistant Controller to support and strengthen our accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This role will require a strong understanding of GAAP accounting, internal controls, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, analytical, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment that blends traditional financial systems with digital asset operations. Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

General Ledger Oversight: Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Internal Controls: Support the development, documentation, and monitoring of internal control processes and compliance measures

Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors, providing requested schedules and documentation during audits and reviews

Technical Accounting: Research and interpret accounting guidance related to new transactions or emerging business initiatives, including those involving crypto assets

System Improvements: Assist in identifying and implementing process enhancements and accounting system optimizations

Collaboration: Partner cross‑functionally with FP&A, Operations, and Compliance to ensure accuracy and transparency across financial reporting

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA certification or active CPA candidacy preferred

3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment

Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct preferred, but equivalent tools acceptable) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities independently

Preferred Candidate Experience

Experience in the fintech, crypto, or financial services industry

Background with digital asset accounting and related regulatory considerations

Familiarity with data analytics tools or ERP implementation projects

Prior experience in a start‑up or rapidly scaling environment

Location/Type Remote, full‑time position based in Israel reporting to the Director of Finance.

Salary Range $80,000 – $110,000 depending on experience.
