Job Overview If you're an experienced Structural Engineer who values a team‑oriented workplace and growth opportunity, we’re hiring! This role focuses on bridge and transportation structure design through Design‑Bid‑Build and Design‑Build projects. The position reports to Megan Mott, PE.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop structural calculations and produce engineering drawings for bridge and transportation structures.

Perform and direct engineering alternatives investigations through data collection, analysis, calculations, and evaluation of alternate solutions.

Prepare written technical reports.

Support construction phase of projects, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, problem solving, etc.

Train and mentor junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

B.S. from an ABET‑accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Registered Professional Engineer and/or Structural Engineer (professionally licensed).

0–5 years post‑PE registration structural engineering experience.

4+ years of relevant bridge design and plans production experience in reinforced concrete, prestressed/post‑tensioned concrete, steel plate and box girder bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, sign/signal structures, sound barriers, and other transportation‑related structures.

Experience using bridge design software such as FB Multi‑Pier, Leap Bridge Concrete, Smartbridge, LARSA, CSI, STAAD, MDX, Shoring Suite, Atlas, and the FDOT MathCAD suite.

Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK, OpenBridge Modeler, AutoCAD and/or CAD platforms for transportation structure design and plans.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, time‑management and self‑initiative skills.

Ability to work in a team environment and drive projects to client deadlines.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s (MSE/MSCE) in Civil/Structural Engineering.

PE and/or SE certification in Florida or ability to obtain Florida registration.

Familiarity with FDOT Structures Manual and FDOT Construction Specifications.

Experience with construction specialty engineering and post‑tensioning applications.

Ability to do 3D modeling in OpenBridge Modeler is a plus.
