Role Description Ideally, this is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Fair Lawn, NJ for an experienced, ambitious, career‑oriented Tax Accountant.
Responsibilities
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and compliance of complex, multi‑state 1040s tax returns for high‑net‑worth individuals.
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for trial‑balance work, reconciliation, verifications, and higher‑level accounting prior to business tax filings (1065, 1120, 1120S).
The Tax Accountant will also engage in responding to letters and notices from federal and state tax authorities.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience with white‑glove service to high‑net‑worth individuals for preparing 1040s.
5+ years of experience with trial balance work, AJEs, and verification of balances for "Main Street" "BackBone" businesses (revenue $1–$5 million).
Skills in tax compliance and tax preparation.
Strong proficiency in general tax practices and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is a plus.
Prior experience in a public accounting firm is beneficial.
