Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Clinical Pharmacy Manager
to oversee our clinical pharmacy services and guide a team of pharmacists and technicians serving acute and critical care areas. The ideal candidate is a clinical leader who values teamwork, mentorship, and innovation in pharmacy practice. Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is located in northwest Arizona. KRMC is the sole community hospital in the area, with a broad range of services and a focus on private and population health. This role reports to the Director of Pharmacy and involves managing clinical activities for patients in acute and critical care, supervising pharmacists and technical staff, and acting as a drug information resource to patients and staff. KRMC is a 235-bed, not-for-profit hospital with over 60 pharmacy staff and a wide range of services, including inpatient care, emergency, ambulatory, home care, telehealth, and 340B program operations. Key Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)
Provide leadership and oversight for clinical pharmacy operations in acute and critical care settings. Mentor and develop pharmacists and technical staff to promote clinical excellence and professional growth. Serve as a drug information resource for medical, nursing, and ancillary staff. Participate in hospital committees, performance improvement initiatives, and departmental education programs. Manage clinical schedules, budgets, and staff competencies. Contribute to formulary management, pharmacoeconomic reviews, and Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee activities. Support pharmacy residency and student training programs. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote safe, cost-effective medication use. Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy. Certification/Licensure: Current Arizona pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure; BLS required, ACLS preferred. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience with a focus in acute and/or critical care; prior leadership experience preferred. Preferred: Completion of ASHP-accredited residency (PGY-1 and/or PGY-2) and/or Board Certification (e.g., BCPS, BCCCP). Work Requirements
Comprehensive, current knowledge of acute/critical care medication use management, age-appropriate therapy, and related pharmaceutical care. Ability to evaluate scientific literature and apply findings to clinical practice. Physical ability to sit 50% of the time, stand/walk 50%, and lift up to 10 pounds. Effective communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, including ability to respond to emergency requests. About Us
