Department Summary MITRE is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Sourcing, Senior to join our team of talent strategists who connect extraordinary talent to MITRE’s mission. In this role, you’ll help identify, engage, and attract talented professionals across a wide range of disciplines who want to make a difference through MITRE’s mission‑driven work.

You’ll work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to build strong candidate pipelines, leverage modern sourcing tools, and apply creative approaches to reach specialized talent. This role offers the opportunity to learn advancing sourcing techniques and contribute directly to the success of MITRE’s hiring initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

Partner with recruiters to understand hiring needs and develop targeted sourcing strategies.

Identify and engage passive candidates through professional networks, online communities, and industry events.

Use provided sourcing tool platforms, AI‑assisted search platforms, and MITRE’s CRM to discover and track potential candidates.

Pre‑screen and qualify candidates to ensure alignment with MITRE’s mission and technical requirements.

Maintain candidate pipelines and track sourcing activities in alignment with established metrics.

Collaborate with the broader Talent Acquisition team to improve tools, processes, and overall candidate experience.

Stay current with sourcing trends, market intelligence, and talent market shifts.

Engage candidates through thoughtful, personalized outreach that reflects MITRE’s values and commitment to public service.

Track and report sourcing metrics, providing data‑driven insights to influence sourcing strategy and improve outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6‑years of related experience, including:

4+ years of experience in talent sourcing, recruitment, or executive research roles, preferably within technology, engineering, or mission‑driven organizations.

2+ years of experience in mid‑to senior level talent acquisition.

Familiarity with advanced search techniques, Boolean strings, and online research methods.

Strong organizational and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

Commitment to providing a positive candidate and stakeholder experience.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external talent communities.

Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.

A creative mindset with the ability to think beyond traditional sourcing channels.

Ability to travel occasionally; role may be remote or based in McLean, VA.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leveraging artificial intelligence sourcing tools and data‑driven search methodologies.

Knowledge of technical or cleared talent markets.

Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, Phenom, Workday, and CRM platforms.

2+ years of experience in government contracting and/or non‑profit recruiting, with a demonstrated understanding of government hiring practices and clearance requirements.
