This position is for an attorney with 2+ years of experience to join the Medical Malpractice/Long-Term Care team in Parsippany, NJ, representing physicians and other healthcare providers, hospitals and facilities in Medical Malpractice litigation. The firm seeks a bright, highly motivated and proactive attorney with excellent writing skills and the ability to work independently with client interaction.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategy for the defense of medical malpractice actions;
Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs and other litigation documents;
Analyze medical records;
Appear in person at court conferences and client meetings throughout New Jersey;
Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings and all other aspects of medical malpractice litigation;
Interact with medical experts;
Conduct legal and medical research and analysis;
Draft motions;
Work cooperatively with others; and
Interact with clients.
Education And Experience Required
Admission to practice in New Jersey (or pending admission – passed bar).
Skills And Abilities Required
Strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills;
Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence;
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
Excellent organizational and time management skills;
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
NJ Comprehensive Total Rewards Package Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including health and well-being benefits, personal and professional development, career growth opportunities and a collegial culture. The anticipated pay range for this role is $110,000 - $160,000, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offer will be determined based on job-related factors, including qualifications, experience, location, and internal equity.
