Overview

Senior Full-Stack Engineer role at Ben. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Ben, your mission is solving real problems for the people using Ben – from how we structure our data, to what happens when someone clicks a button. You will

Build features that matter: work on the frontend, backend, APIs, and integrations that make Ben work. Scope, build, and ship from problem to live. Have a real say in what we build: help shape the roadmap and balance customer requests with long-term product needs. Make technical decisions: model data, ensure scalability, and set the bar for how we build. Think about the whole picture: build scalable, performant, fault-tolerant systems; consider upstream and downstream effects and provider interactions. Design for scale, reliability, and enterprise needs (security, customization, compliance). Own work from idea to production and care about the impact once it’s live. Improve developer experience, tooling, and standards. Ensure security considerations are in place based on industry practices (e.g., OWASP, AWS Well-Architected Framework). Responsibilities

Build and ship product features and abstraction layers across the stack (frontend, backend, APIs, integrations). Collaborate with product managers to understand context and shape solutions. Collaborate with designers to deliver polished, intuitive user experiences. Contribute to technical discovery, architecture, and implementation planning. Raise product and UX questions when something doesn’t make sense. Design for scale, reliability and enterprise needs (security, customization, compliance). Own work from idea to production and care about the impact once it’s live. Improve developer experience, tooling and standards. Ensure security considerations are taken into account, based on current industry-accepted practices (e.g. OWASP, AWS Well-Architected Framework) in all software development and infrastructure projects. Qualifications

Strong experience building modern web applications (frontend + backend). Comfortable working in Python and TypeScript (prior experience preferred but fast learners can pick it up). Care about solving real user problems, not just closing tickets. Ability to collaborate with PMs and designers without waiting for every detail. Autonomy to figure out how and why, with curiosity. Experience building for enterprise-scale requirements. Pragmatic: know when to ship fast and when to think deeply. Clear communication and ability to work with a friendly and ambitious team. Nice-to-haves (not deal-breakers)

Experience building financial platforms, HR tech products, or B2B SaaS. Experience building reliable workflows with Temporal. Not sure if you meet 100% of the requirements?

That’s okay—we value diverse perspectives and growth mindsets. If you have a solid technical foundation and strong interest in full-stack engineering, we’d love to hear from you. This role requires hands-on contribution from day one. Compensation & Benefits
