Austin Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center is seeking experienced Emergency Veterinarians to provide relief coverage. Were looking for doctors who are confident in ER medicine, able to jump in and work independently, and interested in picking up consistent relief shifts each month. Locally managed by one of the original founders, Lindsay Vaughn, DVM, DACVECC, AVES is a progressive, fast?paced, multi?disciplinary veterinary hospital that has experienced exponential growth since its inception and will continue with the opening of our second location late 2025. Located less than three miles from our current location, our brand new 45,000 square foot facility will serve as our inpatient facility and will introduce specialty services, including radiation oncology and integrated oncology services. Our current specialties include Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Neurology, Critical Care, Medical Oncology, Anesthesiology, and Diagnostic Imaging with ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, x?ray, and high?flow oxygen. We partner with CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets to provide Cardiology services to our hospitalized patients. We anticipate rehabilitation, dermatology, and ophthalmology services to join our outpatient facility once both hospitals are in operation. Responsibilities Provide emergency veterinary relief coverage on a consistent basis. Work independently and collaborate with team members. Manage ER medicine appropriate to patient needs. Participate in shift coverage each month.
Qualifications
Board?eligible or board?certified in emergency and critical care veterinary medicine. Experience in a tertiary referral or emergency setting preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and flexibility to take coverage shifts.
