Endoscopy Technician – Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital

This state‑of‑the‑art acute care facility opened in 2013 and expanded in 2017, offering services in a wide variety of specialties. You will be supported as you follow your dreams and find where you belong, here at Tradition Hospital. A caregiver in this position works days, 6:30 am–5:00 pm. Responsibilities
Assist nurses and physicians with all aspects of GI procedures. Stock all rooms with equipment and supplies and maintain proper procedures for the cleaning and storage of endoscopes. Change chemical sterilant and clean scope washer according to policy. Assess endoscopes daily and report any damage to the director. Prepare and send out scopes for repair after notifying director. Assist in the orientation of new personnel to all in‑room procedures and to the process for cleaning and disinfection of scopes. Perform clerical duties if needed in the absence of the scheduler. Transport specimens according to policy using universal precautions. Make pre‑op calls to patients to obtain preliminary information. Identify opportunities for cost savings and make full use of existing resources. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). One year of experience in a hospital setting. Preferred Qualifications
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMT). Physical Requirements
