The Role Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a hyper‑growth startup’s 0→100 phase. You will grow into a technical co‑leader, owning domains, architecting scalable systems, and elevating engineering quality.
You’ll spend your time engaging in:
50% building algorithms & AI features—creator‑brand matching, analytics pipelines.
⚙️ 25% evolving our platform—scaling architecture, containerization, migration from Heroku to AWS.
25% leading technically—shaping architecture and guiding engineers.
50% imagining the next—prototyping, innovating, solving problems before product.
What You’ll Own Algorithms & Intelligence
Own the lifecycle of AI features: problem framing, data sourcing, prototyping, offline/online evaluation, launch, post‑launch iteration.
Establish evaluation harnesses & dashboards for precision/recall, success rate, latency.
Partner with product to set success metrics for matching, recommendations, and creator‑brand search quality.
Platform & Infrastructure
Lead our AWS migration from Heroku; architect scalable, cost‑effective multi‑environment infrastructure.
Containerize .NET applications with Docker/Kubernetes to improve resource management and deployment velocity.
Design horizontal scaling strategies for the API layer as traffic grows.
Optimize SQL Server performance and evaluate data architecture decisions.
Own monitoring, observability, and incident‑response infrastructure.
Technical Leadership
Collaborate with Lead Engineer on code reviews, architectural decisions, quality control.
Make high‑leverage decisions: extraction of microservices vs. refactor vs. rebuild.
Champion engineering best practices while balancing rapid ship cycles.
Bridge product/design vision and technical execution.

Must‑Haves
4+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in .NET, C#, SQL Server, React/Next.js.
Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, design patterns.
Experience building or integrating AI‑driven systems (LLM tools, vector search, RAG).
Data‑driven mindset: defining metrics, running experiments, iterating results.
Solid understanding of DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
Proven technical leadership with architectural decision experience.
Startup mentality: adaptable, fast‑moving, energy for building from zero.
Enjoys using AI tools such as Cursor to boost productivity.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Containerization experience (Docker/Kubernetes).
Recsys or marketplace matching experience.
Feature stores and evaluation feedback loops.
Experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or data pipelines (Dagster/Airflow).
Safety and abuse mitigation for user‑facing AI features.
