Overview

Senior Network Engineer at CesiumAstro. We are looking for a candidate with deep expertise in Fortinet systems to join our team as we design, implement, and manage the enterprise network infrastructure. At CesiumAstro, we are developers and pioneers of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We seek hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Responsibilities

Design, implement, manage, and continuously improve the enterprise network infrastructure. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network systems across the organization. Lead network architecture initiatives and manage escalated support issues to ensure seamless connectivity for guests and staff. Contribute to technology planning and modernization efforts to design, implement, and support a fast-growing network infrastructure. Produce accurate network diagrams and detailed design documentation for implementation. Collaborate with teams to integrate security into network designs and maintain up-to-date expertise in modern security threats and defenses. Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience with network solutions, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Advanced, hands-on experience with Fortinet products: FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient, FortiManager, FortiEMS; Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, FortiAnalyzer. Professional or expert level network certification required (Fortinet FCNS, FCP, NSE 4-8). Extensive experience designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-grade firewall solutions and network security architectures. Strong understanding of routing protocols and network technologies (e.g., eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPsec). LAN/WAN administration experience, including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, NAT, wireless technologies, and switches; strong security integration. Proficiency in network engineering and security firewall architecture; familiarity with Zero Trust frameworks. Ability to produce accurate network diagrams and design documentation for implementation. Experience with architecting, designing, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN solutions; proficiency with SD-WAN. Up-to-date knowledge of security threats and defenses; familiarity with standards such as NIST CSF and FIPS 140-2 is highly desired. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and within a team; clear written and oral communication of technical concepts. Proven track record guiding clients through evaluation and selection of technical solutions in a consultative manner. Willingness to travel as needed. Benefits and Other
