Job Overview A leading technology consulting and solutions organization is seeking an Associate Technical Architect – Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices deployed on AWS environments. This role requires deep hands‑on expertise in modern Java, microservices architecture, cloud‑native systems, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure delivery of high‑performing, secure, and reliable applications while adhering to enterprise architecture guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain microservices‑based backend applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
Develop and manage AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, and EKS clusters.
Create and optimize RESTful APIs ensuring scalability, reusability, and security across applications.
Ensure scalability, responsiveness, and reliability of backend systems.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate technical requirements into solution architectures.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, and Spinnaker for continuous deployment.
Apply coding standards, architectural patterns, and design best practices for maintainability.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in backend frameworks, programming languages, and AWS services.
Must-Have Requirements
Strong proficiency in Java (v11, v17, v21) with understanding of modern features and performance optimization.
Solid experience with microservices architecture using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Familiarity with design and architectural patterns for scalable distributed applications.
Experience with AWS services (DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, EKS).
Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, and Spinnaker.
Strong understanding of both NoSQL (DynamoDB) and relational databases.
Working knowledge of Scala programming language.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Docker, Kafka, and Datadog for monitoring and container orchestration.
Proven ability to deploy applications on AWS using EKS and other DevOps tools.
Exposure to microservices scaling and performance tuning in production environments.
