Overview
Join to apply for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst role at Climate First Bank. We are changing FINANCE to finance CHANGE and are seeking a remote FP&A Analyst who will support the bank’s financial strategy and decision-making processes. This position is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to drive informed business decisions and ensure financial health. The FP&A Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
What You’ll Be Driving As An FP&A Analyst
Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports analyzing variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, coordinating with business units, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and cost management projects.
Collaborate with department heads to understand business drivers, risks, and opportunities, providing financial guidance as needed.
Monitor and report on the bank’s financial performance against targets, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and process improvements.
What You’ll Leverage In This Role
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles, ideally within the banking or financial services sector.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis; experience with financial software and ERP systems a plus.
Solid understanding of banking industry financial statements, products, and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
What To Expect From Your Physical Environment
Full-time, remote work as per company policy.
Standard banking hours, with occasional overtime during peak reporting periods.
Frequent communication (speaking and listening) in person, via email, text, phone or video chat.
Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor.
