Summary/Objective: The Business Analyst II is the second level in a four-level job family of Business Analyst roles.
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8a-5p
What You'll Do
Creates artifacts helpful for the pod/project/initiative including but not limited to feature maps, process flows, visual mockups and high‑level requirements.
Ensures the team effectively categorizes work into manageable tasks that can be included and tracked in an agile framework methodology. Participates in cross‑functional scrum teams as required. Ensures the team’s assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Leads planning and conducts requirements & design sessions for moderately complex business requests.
Performs gap analysis, researches and analyzes vendor solutions and compares and contrasts products against business area requirements for internally developed applications.
Collaborates with QA in developing the QA Test Strategy.
Owns the creation of the UAT Test Strategy & leads execution of User Acceptance Testing with each business area. UAT results are compared against requirements, results are updated and defects are tracked.
Manages medium scale projects, both in size and complexity, from concept to implementation with or without a Project Manager. If there is no Project Manager, this role would pick up responsibilities including owning change management and including but not limited to scope, budget and timeline discussions with the business and management.
Communicates the progress of a project to key stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Manages activities to establish a target implementation date and remove blockers as they arise.
Performs other job‑related functions as assigned by the manager.
What You’ll Need
2‑4 Years of Experience (as a BA or in Financial Services)
4‑year degree in Business, Information Systems or equivalent (3 plus years of Information Systems Experience) preferred.
Experience in and knowledge of applicable systems, reporting capability and user functionality of systems.
Experience in an Agile environment.
Performs the Project Management Function as required for medium size projects.
