RxSight® is an ophthalmic medical technology corporation headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California that has commercialized the world’s first and only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) that is customized after cataract surgery. The company’s mission is to revolutionize the premium cataract surgery experience by allowing surgeons to partner with their patients to achieve optimized results for every unique eye. The LAL Manufacturing Technician, reporting to the LAL Manufacturing Manager, will focus on fully understanding the company's technology. After training in manufacturing procedures, the employee needs to be capable of executing each process step meeting time and quality standards. Responsibilities
Interact with other functions including Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Planning, Chemistry and R&D to contribute to the overall manufacturing of the LAL lenses. Complete work with the highest quality standards within the time allowed to maintain efficiency. Execute activities based on training and skillset, including but not limited to the following roles as applicable: Molder B, Technician F, Assembler III, Assembler II, and Assembler I, with responsibilities across mechanical inspection, documentation, packaging, cleaning, and process verification. Perform tasks such as mold opening, visual inspections under microscope, lens holder cleaning and verification, deflashing, plasma treatment of haptics, and related documentation in the ERP system (QAD) and other systems as required. Conduct mechanical inspection, OCT layer measurement, batch record review and corrections, mold verification and rework, and other manufacturing activities to support production and quality goals. Assist in validation protocol execution, gather test data, and record results in accordance with manufacturing requirements; train manufacturing personnel on processes; participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and regulatory compliance. Support cleanroom operations (gowning, inventory replenishment, cleanroom monitoring, and related activities) and assist in production continuity activities as needed. Microscope use, handling, and assembly of microscopic parts. Prior work inside a cleanroom environment. Education, Experience, and Training
Minimum of associate degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience on medical devices. Employee training completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system. Training requirements related to Insider Trading Policy, Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and Code of Business Conduct and Ethics must be diligently completed within 15 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis. Baseline skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), online spreadsheets (Smartsheet), and ERP system software (QAD) preferred. Salary
$24.50 Per Hour Seniorities
