Exciting opportunity to join Doubletree by Hilton Atlanta Dunwoody as our Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for leading, supporting, and directing all property engineering and maintenance department operations while maintaining property appearance, equipment, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Chief Engineers recruit, train, and manage a team of engineers and technicians, delegating tasks and setting performance goals.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all hotel systems and equipment to minimize the risk of breakdowns and extend the lifespan of assets.
Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as other building equipment and fixtures.
Manage the engineering department's budget, controlling expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
Oversee renovations, remodeling projects, and new construction, coordinating with contractors and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure the hotel complies with all relevant safety regulations and building codes.
Oversee the proper functioning of safety and security systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and surveillance systems.
Respond to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance issues, striving to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to address maintenance needs and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a chief, assistant chief, or similar role within the hotel industry.
Have or obtain any required certifications.
Strong knowledge of MEP.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to train.
