Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Mechanical Engineering The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for multiple full-time tenure-track faculty positions in the Mechanical Engineering Program. Candidates in two broad areas will be considered: (1) Mechanics – experimental, theoretical, and/or computational mechanics; areas include fracture, inelasticity, energy materials, soft materials, and bio-mechanics. (2) Vibrations and Acoustics – areas include smart materials and structures, vibration and noise control, metamaterials, nonlinear dynamics, rotor dynamics, MEMS/NEMS, structural health monitoring, and biomedical acoustics. Responsibilities

Teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to the candidate’s specialty areas and participate in course and curriculum development. Develop externally funded research programs in their specialty areas, publish research results in professional journals, and advise graduate and undergraduate students. Participate in professional service activities such as editorial/peer review, serving on departmental, college and university committees, and outreach activities (e.g., speaking at recruiting events, hosting lab tours, helping with summer camps). Minimum Requirements

Prior to the effective date of appointment, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required. Application Process
