Piper Maddox is representing a company in the clean fuels space who are searching for a Technical Account Manager. They will be a key customer-facing role responsible for providing technical support, process optimization, and relationship management across a defined regional portfolio of ethanol production facilities. This position bridges science, operations, and customer service, supporting enzyme and yeast applications within fermentation systems and helping plants achieve greater yield, consistency, and reliability.

You will work closely with plant operations teams to run trials, troubleshoot process issues, analyze performance data, and deliver actionable recommendations, while ensuring a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

Deliver world‑class service and technical support to customers using advanced fermentation and enzyme technologies.

Diagnose and resolve process issues related to fermentation, enzymatic performance, and downstream optimization.

Conduct and oversee plant trials, analyze fermentation and production data, and present findings to customers and internal teams.

Utilize JMP analytical software and MS Office tools to prepare data visualizations, reports, and recommendations.

Learn and master the company’s product line to effectively communicate technical benefits and applications.

Collaborate closely with technical, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless customer support.

Lead and prepare plant performance reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement and product application.

Respond to plant emergencies or process deviations with professionalism and a calm, solutions‑driven approach.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions, plant data, and trial outcomes.

Stay up to date on industry trends, process innovations, and new product developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a biological or engineering discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or related) OR minimum 3 years of experience in starch fermentation, ethanol production, or enzyme applications.

2+ years of direct experience in an ethanol plant or similar fermentation‑based production environment preferred.

Strong technical understanding of fermentation, enzyme systems, and process optimization.

Proficiency in data analysis and comfort presenting data visually (graphs, charts, trends).

Experience with JMP analytics highly preferred.

Superior communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Effective at managing multiple priorities, following up on tasks, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally up to 65%.
