Senior Accountant Location: Coeur d’Alene, Idaho / Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $90,000 annually (salary range starts at $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Position Overview We are seeking a process‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will own critical elements of the accounting close, develop and refine scalable accounting processes, and help advance Selkirk’s system infrastructure as we expand globally. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail‑oriented, and thrives in designing structure and repeatable workflows. This position requires a balance of operational execution and strategic process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Own and continuously improve the month‑end close process, including reconciliations, reserves, accruals, and account analysis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and process documentation.

Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and CFO to design, document, and implement scalable accounting policies and workflows supporting company growth.

Support international subsidiary accounting and ensure alignment with consolidated reporting standards.

Conduct light cost accounting and inventory analysis, ensuring consistency across systems and processes.

Lead or support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of accounting and financial systems, including integration with Palantir and ERP platforms.

Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials to institutionalize accounting knowledge and reduce reliance on tribal workflows.

Assist with audit support, technical accounting research, and special projects as needed.

Identify automation and AI‑driven opportunities to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Active CPA certification is required.

3–5+ years of experience, preferably in a high‑growth consumer products or similar company.

Focus on technical accounting, subsidiary accounting support, month‑end close, audit support, ERP implementation & enhancement, and account reconciliations.

Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial principles.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency in financial software and systems.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Tech‑savvy with tools and systems, including AI, advanced Excel, and Google tools suite.

Thrives in an agile environment and can work well with multiple departments.

Strong organizational skills; able to multitask and coordinate multiple conflicting priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
