Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled WebSphere Administrator with deep technical expertise in WebSphere Application Server and Liberty. The ideal candidate will have strong automation and scripting skills, experience with Agile frameworks, and the ability to design and manage secure, scalable middleware environments. Responsibilities
Install, configure, automate, and administer WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base) with hands-on expertise in high availability configurations and enterprise repository setup. Manage and support WebSphere Liberty, including various deployments in virtual machines and containers (Podman, OCP). Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation; experience with workflow automation is a plus. Write and maintain scripts using Shell, Python, PowerShell, and Java to support automation and operational efficiency. Work within Agile frameworks, contributing to sprint planning and delivery. Design and implement application server architecture and patterns. Manage and maintain security certificates to ensure system integrity and compliance. Collaborate with teams on middleware products such as Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and NGINX. Utilize Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint for documentation, architectural presentations, and reporting. Skills
Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base). Advanced understanding of WebSphere Liberty environments (virtual and containerized). Strong automation skills using Ansible. Proficiency in Shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, and Java. Experience with Agile methodologies. Strong understanding of application server architecture, design, and security. Familiarity with other middleware products such as Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and NGINX. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
