The Job At-A-Glance: Q2 is reinventing the entire banking stack to help our users create the next generation of banking. Our team is responsible for the delivery of a real-time, cloud-based, FDIC-approved banking core and the back office tools that are needed to support the functions of a banking core. We are looking for a highly motivated and determined individual with exceptional technical knowledge and experience to help us lead the charge in a new era of banking as a service to build the backend tools to support this product. They should be enthusiastic about solving complex problems with large datasets by providing a simple and flexible interface that provides a high level of security for the end user. This is an exciting new opportunity to work in one of our many offices in the US. As an Azure full stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building robust, high-quality, and scalable solutions that expand and improve our Helix core platform. You’ll be part of a team reinventing how the user interacts with our product. The ideal candidate should be motivated by driving innovation in how the team develops new code as well as leverages opens source and third-party tools to deliver inventive solutions to our customers in a robust and agile method. A Typical Day
Design, implementation, and maintain products using MS SQL, C# .NET Core, Vue.js, Python and other modern technologies. Using the SCRUM framework, design, implement and maintain the backend tools used for money movement in the banking solution, including high-performance SQL stored procedures, API layer, batch processes, and front end tools to expose back-office results, with automated testing and deployment needs. Collaborate to develop and improve development methods to ensure a highly productive team and development environment. Work with engineers, designers, and management to rapidly build, iterate, test, and deploy features while maintaining a robust code base and testing automation. Provide support, maintenance, and issue resolution for live production systems with occasional on-call availability. Ensure adherence to security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls. Mentor teammates to provide technical leadership and evangelize best practices. Improve and scale existing products and tools; launch new projects from ideation to completion. Monitor and reduce cybersecurity product risk. Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience. 8+ years complex SQL and stored procedure programming and C# experience Strong experience in full-stack development from spec/concept to back-end development .NET Batch Experience Strong experience with cloud-based infrastructure Experience working closely with design and PO individuals/teams Passion for applying good design principles while exercising pragmatism to meet deadlines Experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle Experience engineering software in a service-oriented architecture Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience contributing in an Agile development environment Good interpersonal skills Occasional on-call/emergency support Ability to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlines and off-hours installations An exceptional individual will have
10+ years of advanced C# and complex SQL experience Experience with containerization Experience scaling technology solutions Experience with batch processes and multi-threading in .NET or .NET Core Strong experience with SOA and microservices development Strong experience with unit testing and test-driven development Experience in cybersecurity Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
