is a high alloy sand casting foundry that has been in operations for over 50 years. We manufacture aluminum components for the defense and commercial markets. CPP Cudahy is seeking a driven Quality Assurance Engineer (QA Engineer) to join our team. Compensation & Benefits : Competitive salary ranging from $80-100K DOE Bonus program and 5% quarterly bonus potential Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance 401(k) with match Paid vacation and holidays Paid training Position Overview : As a QA Engineer, you will support the development of robust manufacturing processes and quality systems to support the company's growth in the industrial and aerospace casting markets. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the quality system, manufacturing, inspection, and test processes, and product characteristics comply with customer requirements and governmental regulations. Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and advance CPP quality systems, procedures, and practices Interpret customer drawings, specifications, reports, and basic GD&T knowledge Communicate with customers to resolve/address quality system concerns and inquiries Use problem?solving tools and techniques to increase profitability Audit production lots for adherence to established techniques and to ensure repeatability of results Participate in customer/external audits, preparation, guidance, and closure Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives Enforce quality in casting manufacturing processes, ensuring castings meet or exceed customer expectations Identify process yield issues using data analysis techniques (statistical, mathematical, DOE, Six Sigma, etc.) Generate quality shipment documentation, including certificates of conformance and audit checklists Drive closure of preventative/corrective actions and manage non?conforming material/processes Review contracts in adherence with CPP standards and practices Coordinate qualification documentation and data submittal packages with engineering team Collaborate with NDT level III personnel to ensure product compliance Develop internal job instructions and support Gage R&R studies, process capability, SPC, correlation, and other data?related activities Maintain a positive, professional work atmosphere with effective communication Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (1?2 years related experience acceptable) 2?5 years of work experience in a foundry or related field Comprehensive knowledge of quality systems such as AS9100 or NADCAP Familiarity with investment casting industry and related processes Familiarity with FMEA, Control Plan and PPAP documentation Strong communication, PC, and program management skills Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing (plus) Ability to work independently with minimal direction Travel to other CPP facilities, customers, and vendors may be required.
