Job Summary The Field Service Engineer will design, install, maintain, upgrade, and support our customers’ systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and software issues, supporting Dell servers and workstations, troubleshooting Distributed Control Systems (DCS), performing preventative maintenance, participating in a rotating 24/7 on‑call schedule, and maintaining accurate technical documentation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Design, install, commission, and maintain system networks in a Microsoft OS environment.

Perform general computer maintenance, diagnostics, and data backups of workstations.

Provide software and hardware support for Dell servers and workstations.

Troubleshoot DCS at the network, workstation, controller, and I/O level to resolve customer problems quickly.

Participate in a weeklong on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support to contract customers.

Conduct DCS preventative maintenance, including voltage measurements, cleaning, patching, and diagnostics.

Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and technical guides for existing technologies.

Requirements

Proficiency with MS Windows, Dell computers, and basic understanding of Windows Active Directory.

Strong computer hardware troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Ability to travel regionally (PA, OH, WV) and make overnight trips as needed.

Availability for on‑call duty on a rotating basis.

Physical capability to perform standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, overhead reaching, climbing, stooping, pulling/pushing, and lifting up to 50 lb in varying temperatures.

Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; BS in Engineering preferred.

Preferred: experience with DeltaV DCS, AMS Device Manager, PLC hardware troubleshooting, cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+), and networking (e.g., CompTIA Network+).
