The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY SoM) located in the heart of Harlem, New York, is the only medical school in the City University of New York system and the only public medical school in Manhattan. Building upon 50 years of success as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, the institution transitioned to the CUNY School of Medicine (SoM) in 2016. The CUNY SoM offers an accelerated BS/MD degree (7-year program) and a Physician Assistant Master’s Degree (27 months program). As a major priority, CUNY SoM also seeks to enhance the recruitment and retention of senior leadership, faculty, and staff to more closely reflect the diversity of our student body. Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service and foster positive work experiences for employees. Report to the Executive Director of Human Resources, providing guidance and support in performance evaluations, professional development, training, and various compliance initiatives. Collaborate with University Human Resources, DCAS, and other training & development partners to identify professional development and training opportunities for full‑time and part‑time faculty and staff. Conduct research and stay abreast of the latest developments in training and partner with various stakeholders to develop and facilitate career paths across various levels of the workforce. Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning programs across the employee lifecycle, covering core professional skills, including soft skills, technical skills, emotional intelligence, active listening, influencing, project management, AI enablement, presentation skills, etc. Audit and review onboarding and core learning resources to support program improvements. Conduct annual employee performance evaluation training and assist supervisors with identifying skill gaps and recommend appropriate training programs. Manage the performance evaluation process, collecting, monitoring, and reporting on evaluation tools, processes, and completion of annual appraisals. Maintain a repository of performance evaluations and create tracking and dashboard data to monitor and report on performance metrics. Monitor compliance policies, procedures, protocols, programs, preventive measures, and internal controls to safeguard risks. Produce regular and on‑demand reports of performance evaluation and compliance training and identify trends and areas for improvement. Design and deliver a standardized onboarding program for new hires, educating them on SoM goals, culture, business operations, and expectations during the first 90 days. Manage registration and completion of compliance coursework and required certifications and licensure for faculty and staff. Utilize LMS and other tools to track participation in trainings, measure learning outcomes, and report on impact. Gather and analyze insights from feedback surveys, focus groups, and other sources to recommend process, content, and delivery revision. Manage and oversee internal audits, external audit pre‑inspections, and audits responding to non‑compliance reports. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and six years’ related experience required. Preferred Qualifications

Eight years of human resources, professional development, and/or compliance experience in higher education preferred. Knowledge of PeopleSoft (CUNYFirst), Microsoft Office suite and current federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Past success in a fast‑paced, continually evolving environment using proven time‑management skills, prioritization skills and working with a strong sense of urgency. Hands‑on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e‑learning tools. Proficient in conducting needs assessments, analyzing metrics, and using data to inform strategic enhancements. Capable of identifying challenges and implementing effective corrective actions to optimize learning outcomes. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to engage a diverse range of stakeholders. Cuny Title Overview

Assumes responsibility for delivery of one or more human resources programs, which may include recruitment, performance management, labor relations, pay administration, recordkeeping, and/or human resources technology. Manages staff responsible for carrying out operations in the Human Resources office. Provides support to College department chairs and managers in staff planning, recruiting, hiring, and resolving sensitive personnel issues. Provides guidance on the impact of laws and regulations, CUNY policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Provides outreach to employees and provides communications such as meetings, newsletters, and websites. Compiles accurate and well‑organized reports. Assists management with developing policies, procedures, and programs to support Human Resources' objectives. Perform related duties as assigned. Compensation And Benefits

Salary Range: $74,249 - $129,041. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
