Sales and Event Specialist – Westmount Westmount is a premier event venue in Woodland Park, NJ, in the Garret Mountains, just off Route 46. We are proud to host unforgettable weddings and special events serving cuisine well known for its variety and quality, from an incredible cocktail hour to memorable dinners and desserts. At Westmount, we are dedicated to creating experiences of a lifetime for every guest hosting weddings to social and corporate events.

As a Sales and Event Specialist, you will be guiding clients from first inquiry to last dance. You will represent Westmount with professionalism and warmth, collaborate closely with your colleagues, the General Manager and Aviva leadership, and play a central role in the continued success of this one-of-a-kind property.

Key Responsibilities

Promptly respond to incoming inquiries, book in-person sales meetings, and give property tours to help potential clients visualize their event.

Monitor availability and maximize the utilization and revenues.

Maximize exposure to the property—through public relations, networking, and social media in a coordinated effort with colleagues.

Provide tours in the evenings and on weekends to meet the demand of potential customers.

Solicit corporate business through networking and active follow up.

Demonstrate proficiency in Sales and CRM software programs and social media including, but not limited to, Tripleseat, Instagram, Facebook, and others.

Attend all regular sales meetings with the leadership team.

Maintain all sales‑related documentation and process information in a timely manner (leads, tours, contracts, etc.).

Collaborate with colleagues to document necessary details, special requests, and logistics to ensure flawless execution of service during the event.

Event Planning

Communicate in a timely and professional way with clients throughout the planning process, noting all decisions with diligence and organization.

Ensure timely processing of client payments, cancellations, and refunds.

Obtain appropriate documentation and permissions such as vendor Certificates of Insurance and permissions to use content in marketing collateral.

Co‑ordinate, manage, and execute final meetings, food tastings, wedding rehearsals, and décor drop‑off/pick‑ups.

Create, distribute, and present fully detailed Banquet Event Orders.

Prepare event‑specific floor plans, timelines, meal count confirmations, event place cards, and other event‑specific requirements for assigned clients.

On the day of the event, lead with confidence, a warm demeanor, and professionalism to ensure the flawless execution of the event.

Work with the team to prepare and distribute event recaps and closing packets to the management team.

Organize, collect, and monitor event reviews and testimonials.

Who You Are

A great salesperson with a service mindset.

A Bachelor’s degree holder with at least 3–5 years of experience in wedding sales.

A proven closer who consistently meets or exceeds sales benchmarks.

Willing and able to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule to meet client and business needs.

Always presenting with a professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Exceptionally organized, with strong time‑management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

A strategic thinker and service‑driven leader who takes initiative and drives results.

A true team player, ready to step in and support wherever and whenever needed.

Comfortable directing and collaborating with external wedding planners and event attendants.

Creative and resourceful, with a can‑do mindset—you’re a “yes, we’ll figure it out” kind of person.

Preferably experienced with TripleSeat and tech‑savvy enough to learn any sales and CRM and Calendar platforms with ease.

Someone who holds or is willing to obtain certifications including ServSafe, TIPS, Allergen Awareness, and CPR/First Aid.

Able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
