Overview
Girl's Flag Football Assistant Coach at KIPP Columbus. The position supports and leads various aspects of the sports program, including supervising students during program activities, serving as a positive role model, and representing KIPP Columbus in an excellent and equitable manner. Coaches can upgrade their knowledge and skills through coaching clinics and observations.
Responsibilities
Coaching
Preparing and maintaining training equipment and facilities.
Assisting with the recruitment of students for the program.
Monitoring and evaluating team performance.
Maintaining records of students, training sessions, games, performance statistics, and equipment.
Facilitating and supervising training sessions and individual workouts.
Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Building a positive team environment.
Student Development
Work with other school staff to plan and implement instructional goals and objectives to support student-athlete development.
Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation.
Instruct and advise students on regulations regarding academic requirements for scholarships and recruiting.
Align with and maintain KIPP’s learning environment standards during athletic activities and trips.
Student Safety and Operations
Protect student-athletes, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Supervise student-athletes during competitions on out-of-town trips.
Encourage sportsmanlike conduct in all athletic activities.
General
Contribute to student and team success.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Athletics and Wellness Coordinator or Head Coach.

Minimum of one year of coaching experience with middle and/or high school students
Possess a valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Permit
Complete all required Health and Safety training and certifications to be eligible to coach in Ohio
