Overview
A large, nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Downtown Fort Lauderdale office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial litigation experience, strong e-filing skills in Florida State and Federal Courts, and prior E-Discovery experience. This is a full-time, on-site position working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Base pay
$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Support one Partner and several Associates in all aspects of litigation. Handle e-filing in Florida State and Federal Courts. Manage calendars, scheduling, and deadlines for depositions, hearings, and meetings. Prepare document productions, discovery responses, and trial materials. Draft Tables of Contents and Authorities, pleadings, and correspondence. Assist with depositions and trial preparation, including organizing binders, exhibits, and demonstratives. Maintain physical and electronic case files using document management systems. Enter and track billable and nonbillable time in 3E. Process expense reports and check requests and assist with A/R follow-up. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and vendors. Provide legal and administrative support as needed while maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of Commercial Litigation experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively as a team player. Positive attitude and flexibility to work overtime when necessary. Proficiency and Software
