JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Under the supervision of the Director of Software Engineering, this key role is to develop production quality code for security X-Ray systems used in customer mission critical products. This role involves working with other Software Engineers to enhance the current software architecture, develop interface control documents, build software test harnesses, and improve the overall software platform. To excel in this key role, you must be able to communicate clearly. Responsibilities
Build software solutions in a Linux server/desktop environment using C++, and Qt development framework. Contribute to products on a variety of technologies and architectures: Linux services, RESTful APIs, TCP/IP client-server, Web Applications, Database modeling. Integrate lower-level hardware interfaces, software and PLC systems, for product hardware and integration with other 3rd party systems. Participate in the entire software development cycle by analyzing, designing, and developing new features and products. Produce product details documentation such as Functional Specs, Interface Control documents, User Guides, etc. Enhance the functionality, performance, and scalability of the product suite. Qualifications
Experience with image processing including 3D imaging. Experience in X-Ray or Security Systems. Experience in SQL and understanding of database design and theory. Strong command of Object-Oriented Design. Experience with various network protocols (SSH/TCP/IP). Experience with hardware integration (Linux Drivers, Serial protocols, etc.). A solid understanding of C++ and Linux-based development is required. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working with radiation. Dosage monitoring is required. Travel
Availability for occasional travel. Required Education and Experience
BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 10 years of technical experience in high-tech software development. Work Authorization/Security Clearance
