What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Lead electrical system design for facilities up to 100+ MW, including one-line and three-line diagrams, control schematics, and equipment layouts for MV and LV power systems
Perform and review power systems studies using ETAP or SKM, including load flow and short-circuit analyses
Specify and procure major electrical equipment and manage technical bid evaluations and vendor selection
Ensure compliance with NEC and other relevant codes and standards throughout design and implementation
Support site activities including installation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and 5+ years of experience in industrial or utility-scale power systems engineering
Proficiency with ETAP or SKM Power Tools for power systems analysis
Deep understanding of NEC (NFPA 70) and NFPA 70E requirements
Field and commissioning experience with MV/LV systems, including FAT and SAT
Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and equipment procurement processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Professional Engineer (PE) license (active or ability to obtain)
Hands‑on experience with medium-voltage systems up to ~35 kV
Familiarity with UL, IEEE, and ANSI requirements
Experience supporting EPCs through all engineering and commissioning phases
Willingness to travel up to 50% during plant commissioning
