Responsibilities

Family Medicine core privileges include performing history and physical examinations, evaluating, diagnosing, treating and providing consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illnesses and conditions.

Manage pre-operative care of surgical patients and post-operative medical care and return-to-work considerations as applicable to the setting.

Admit patients when appropriate to the setting and provide ongoing medical care.

Collaborate with Behavioral Health – IHT on site and coordinate with on-site lab and X-ray services.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree.

Board certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate board (ABMS or AOA) or completion of residency with certification within five years if applicable; if not board-certified at the time of application, must obtain certification within five years from residency completion unless waived by policy.

Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by ACGME, AOA or Royal College (Canada) as applicable; other residencies may be considered via waiver process as defined in Credentialing Policy.

Ability to demonstrate clinical activity in Family Medicine and meet privilege requirements, including relevant case logs and patient care experience.

Compensation Sanford Health offers a nationally competitive compensation plan with an additional physician benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, CME allowance, time away, malpractice tail coverage, and relocation assistance.

Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $265,175 - $343,168 plus potential to exceed floor from wRVUs. Additional incentives may be offered. Offers vary based on education, training, certification, experience, scope of practice and job requirements.
