Leading Global Corporate and Investment Bank seeks an AVP - Syndicated Bank Loan Administration with a minimum of 7-10 years of related Syndicated/Bilateral Loan Administration experience to support the Agency/Bilateral Loan Administration portfolio and ensure accurate and timely administration/servicing of the Bank's agented loan portfolio. The role requires daily activity compliance with state and federal laws, regulations and Bank lending policies and procedures, and provides leadership and training along with a high level of customer relations and service. The AVP will assist in transaction approval as required, support a complex loan portfolio, and be knowledgeable in servicing syndicated and bilateral loan facilities. Responsibilities include understanding new Agency deal closing as Administrative Agent or direct lender, providing expertise and guidance, reviewing and commenting on credit agreements and other closing documentation, coordinating funds flow, fee allocations and disbursement of funds and lender notification, and building deals in the lending system.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate transactions between customers, Agent Banks, Participant banks, Front office, Treasury Division and other parties.
Manage the administration aspects of all New Deal Closings: calculating, invoicing, disbursing deal-related fees, coordinating movement of funds related to initial funding and closing, and reporting to Management, Supervisors and Account Officers all transactions requiring special handling or approval.
Review, release and approve traditional loan deals; maintain high-level technical support to Loan Administration staff, account officers and clients; independently manage administrative processes for complex loan deals; provide consultative support to Account Officers on operational deal structure issues.
Review Document and Facility Instruction sheets / Credit Agreement Booking Requests to ensure documentation aligns with Credit Approval; create or maintain accurate Credit Arrangements in ACBS.
Maintain daily maintenance of commitment facilities (monitoring borrowing status, preparing new borrowings, rollovers, rate sets, conversions, repayments and prepayments) and calculate, invoice and disburse ongoing interest and fees; monitor Fronting LC, Invoice Discounting and Risk Participations; interact with Treasury on rate settings for foreign currencies and USD loans.
Verify data integrity, troubleshoot deal-management issues, communicate with treasury to resolve funding-rate discrepancies, and manage collateral requirements for credit deals; advise account officers on collateral shortfalls.
Desired Qualifications
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience administering syndicated or bilateral loan portfolios; experience with loan operating systems such as LoanIQ or ACBS preferred.
Advanced understanding of all aspects of loan or deal administration functions (including funding).
Experience with specialized lending products (e.g., Asset Securitization, Leasing, CLOs, Project Finance, Loan Trading, and/or Credit Derivatives as necessary).
Proficiency in collateral evaluation procedures and management of lending products.
Knowledge of wire transfers (FED, CHIPS, SWIFT).
Experience with lending compliance; thorough, accurate, detail-oriented, organized, able to work under pressure and solve problems.
