Position:
Electrical Engineer – Validation Automation (Contract-to-Hire)
Type:
Contract-to-Hire (3–6 months initial term)
Overview Our client is seeking a
hands‑on Electrical Engineer
to support the development, validation, and automation of next‑generation robotic systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced hardware environment and enjoys building, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems that bring robots to life.
Key Responsibilities
Support
prototype robot builds , test setups, electrical configuration updates, and system integration.
Build, route, and install cable harnesses, connectors, and wiring assemblies
for robotic systems.
Perform PCB soldering/rework , crimping, and terminations (through‑hole and surface mount).
Collaborate closely with engineers to
power up, debug, and validate electrical subsystems .
Assist in the design and setup of
electrical test systems and fixtures , including wiring and programming test routines.
Identify and source
flexible hardware solutions
for test setups involving servo motors, stepper motors, solenoids, and sensors.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of hands‑on experience
in electrical assembly, prototype wiring, or robotic system integration.
Strong knowledge of electrical connectors, cable harness design, and low‑voltage wiring best practices .
Proficiency with hand tools
for wire crimping, stripping, soldering, and routing.
Experience with PCB soldering/rework (IPC‑A‑610/620 certification is a plus).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with electrical safety and ESD protocols.
Experience supporting or building test setups for robotics, mechatronics, or automation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLC, Arduino, or other microcontroller programming.
Background in developing or maintaining electrical test fixtures.
Ability to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic engineering environment.
